This Monday, April 11th, the Town Commission will discuss “Dock Lighting” updates and consider Ordinance No. 381, which was last discussed on March 31, 2022 by the Local Planning Agency. The Town staff has studied the issue of dock lighting for many months in order to draft an ordinance that is appropriate for Jupiter Island. Upon reviewing the draft ordinance, the Local Planning Agency made recommendations. Now it is time for residents to comment or make suggestions. We are encouraging everyone on the Island to review the proposed ordinance and the new changes that would be implemented in regards to dock lighting – especially those residents who live along the Intracoastal. Don’t hesitate to contact Mayor Whitney Pidot or Town Commissioners with any questions or changes you suggest. You can also attend the Commission meeting on Monday, April 11th, and ask to speak about your concerns, as part of the public comment period during the meeting.
