You are invited to a special program on Monday, April 4th, titled “Florida Plant Rescue,” at the Tangerine Theater at 5pm. We hope you will come and learn more about our extraordinary Florida plant life from our very own Jody Bush and Barbara Millen, residents who are passionate about preserving our native plant life.
Come and learn why rare, endangered native plant species are critical to Florida’s environment. “Save the last 167 endangered plants”
We look forward to seeing you at this important educational opportunity on April 4th. Many Florida plants are currently at high risk of extinction due to rising sea levels and the increasing hurricane threats as our climate continues to warm. The national Center for Plant Conservation has eight botanic gardens in Florida and it is piloting this “Florida Plant Rescue” initiative to raise awareness on Jupiter Island and across the state.
Join us and we will celebrate the more than 2,840 native plant species we have in Florida, which includes an amazing more than 300 that are found nowhere else in the world. Together, we can help the Center for Plant Conservation save the last 167 endangered plants and sponsor their future protection by 2025!
